Improvements to Protocols in Experiments
The newest set up is clunky and unfinished. I just submitted a bug request related to this as well, but to expand: Some comments below to describe some of the issues so as to explain why I'd like an option to return to the previous experiment UI. They are formatted into the context of feature requests in case you deny the UI request.
I'd like there to be a "mark all as read" in the embeded that's easily accessible, as there is when you open the protocol properly.
Another thing which may or may-not be a bug, is that whenever I return to an experiment from an opened protocol, all of the protocols open, even though I had just closed them all. Surely the software should be able to remember the most recent open/close state I had left them in?
Also since I don't want the protocols embedded and prefer to open them on their own, it's frustrating that the majority of the button-realestate is now dedicated to the embedded part, with only a tiny button for opening it normally.
Finally, When You first open a protocol with a date/time entry for completing a section of it, it would autofill with the time it was opened; Which was great! But now with the embedding nonsense that is all screwed up and I am spending more time and brainspace working on a part of the experiment that was previously automated.
